17 months old

Today I turned 17 months old and I thought it would be good to update you on how my vocabulary is going. I'm up to about 35 words or expressions at the moment and adding new words each week. I just learnt the word "bastard" (bakhad), an integral part of the vocabulary of any South African sports supporter.

Here is the list

On the Beach

The last few weekends have brought great beach weather, not great for the farmers, but I've made the most of it by going down to the beach and having fun in the sand and sea. Today was Anzac day so we got a weekend in the middle of the week - great!

The Children's Farm

Dad took us to the Collingwood Children's farm this weekend so I could practice my farm animal noises with more real animals. I saw duckies, moo's, horses, my first goats, sheepies and other cool creatures - oh, and a guinea pig.

Lots of fun...

A Vist from Mali

Cousin Mali came to visit this week and I had another visitor, Max, who was born on the same day as me. The three of us kept Mum and Dad on their toes and tested out their management skills for the future.

The Monkey

If you hadn't already noticed, I do love my climbing - I sometimes manage to get myself into tricky positions, like this one in under my change table

Me and the Moo's!

This Easter weekend we travelled into the country to visit the Tallent clan who were camping on the Murray River, the family tradition over Easter. This was my first chance to get up close and personal with some Moo Cows, who were calmly grazing on the plain next to the river. I decided to go and check them out at first hand.

Check it out

It was great to see my cousins again, especially new cousin Max, only 4 weeks old. I could try out my new word: "Babaay"

Molly the Maestro

Mum's been taking me to music lessons for the last few weeks, where I learn how to sing, dance and play instruments.

Now I've got my own piano keyboard so I can practice on my own at home and entertain visitors with my growing repertoire.
