Wind in the Willows

My friend from play school, Isabella, invited us to watch her Dad as Mr Badger in "Wind in the Willows" - an open air production in the Botanical Gardens. Wow, what a performance! If I was a member of the academy, he would get my vote for sure. That's him below on the left.

Out of Africa

Mom and Dad were missing Africa so we packed up a picnic and went out to the Werribee Open Plains zoo for the day. It was a great chance for me to practice my African animals which I've been learning from Mum's safari books. I saw eland, giraffe, rhinos, gazelle, big lion kings, cheetah, camels and a big hippo. Cool!

Christmas Holidays in Noosa

Pru and Muz invited us and the Burrum clan up to Noosa for Christmas holidays which meant lots of quality time with my cousins Mali, Keithy and Max. There wasn't much beach weather which meant lots of time in the pool and opportunity for me to practice my swimming skills.

My Christening

Now that I'm two, Mum and Dad thought it would be a good idea to get me christened. So, off we went to the Burrum church, a little old church just up the road from the farm that Mum grew up on. There was a big turnout as a few other members of the Burrum community had decided to get their little ones christened too - so it was an Aussie country version of one of those mass weddings you see in Asia.

I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do but played along as best I could and when the priest finished wetting my head, I called out "Amen" which everyone in the church was very amused with.

Afterwards, we got together with a whole lot of Mum's friends who had come to watch this enormous event and I played with all of the kids...

My 2nd birthday

Well, time flies when you're having so much fun. Can you believe its my 2nd birthday already. Big days like this only come around once every now and then so we decided to celebrate in style.

First, I had to open my pressies...

Then it was time for my big butterfly cake and the candle-blowing-out ceremony...

Then, the fun started with a big bash at my house with my friends from playschool. The highlight of course was my very own jumping castle which despite the 35 degree heat, I managed to play in for most of the day.

Visit to the farm

While Dad was watching his team win the Rugby World Cup, Mum and I went to see Grandma and the rest of the clan.

We went out to see the Keithy and Max on the farm and I got a chance to ride Isabella, my favourite pony.

It was great to catch up with my big cousins, Emma and Jess, who had their hands full with the rest of us little ones.

I love reading

I'm really enjoying my reading at the moment. Every day I read my favourite books with Mum and Dad. Sometimes I read by myself in my room - you can usually tell this by the state of my room with the books I have read strewn around the floor. They say its the fountain of all knowledge, you know.

Kevin, the Smartest Kangaroo in Australia, is my current fave - its an absolute page-turneare which I enjoy reading every day with Dad and spotting new things drawn in the various pictures in the book.

Pretty Bubba

Look at my little sister Hannah (hunnuh), isn't she gorgeous? I like giving her kisses and help Daddy when he baths her.

The Big Show

Mum and Dad took Hannah and I to the Royal Melbourne show. Lots of rides, goodie bags, called showbags, and a big hall where you could play with all sorts of farm animals - my favourite were the baby goats. "Goatsss" has become one of my most used words. When I say "goatsss" it could mean I would like to be taked immediately to a farm to see goats and other farm animals or it could mean that iw want to watch myself on youtube on Mum's computer, preferably, playing with goats.
